Peterhouse. The main court at Peterhouse, Cambridge's oldest college, was faced with stone in the mid-18th century. The chapel, in the centre, was built about 1630.

Queens' College. The Mathematical Bridge is supposed to have been constructed originally on geometric principles, without nails. It has since been rebuilt, with nails.
